Summer is here. Do you know that some Ants and Termites can fly? In fact, some colony individuals have the ability to swarm out of their nests to spread out the species. They're called reproductives because they have the potential to become future queens and start out a new colony. Usually, an ANT or a TERMITE swarmer shed its wings, then look for a suitable place to begin a colony. Most ANT and TERMITE species in Florida swarm in the Spring throughout the Summer when it's damp and humid, or either before or after a "summer shower". So the next time you see winged insects in or around your home, don't hesitate to consult a specialist for a professional and thorough insect identification: 561-929-2737
